Business Development Support Assistant

The Patons Groups provides a diverse range of services to support the Taxi community. From providing vehicles, claims services, vehicle repair, to financing and insurance.

We’ve been involved in the taxi industry for 65 years and have a strong presence and brand value within the industry.

We are expanding our Business Development team and are to bring onboard a Business Development Support Assistant.

 

This is not a sales role and doesn’t involve any direct selling of our services over the phone. It is as business development support role, where the focus of the role is to support our field bases account management team.

This role is office based, (in Manchester (M12) or Liverpool (L5)), but will include occasion accompanied field visits to clients. This role can be full time or flexible part time (min 25 hours per week).

 

Salary; Full time, £18,000 + performance related quarterly bonus. (pro-rata for part time).

Full training will be provided for this role, no previous experience required.

 

Day to day the role has 3 distant key areas;

Sales Support

Working with the field team with account management basic research and some basic administration. (Order form creation, Sales Quotes, etc).

Working with the Marketing team to create campaigns to promote into the prospect and client database and creation of marketing assets for existing clients.

Ongoing updating of the prospect and client database with new and additional information.

Working with Business Development team to plan out the activity for that week and beyond.

 

Research

Our database needs ongoing additional information adding to it and we can find some of this through our research.

Internet based research and calling the prospects and client will be part of this role.

 

Database management

We use various sources to keep our data as up to date as possible. You’ll be responsible for adding and updating this information as it becomes available.

Add new businesses and contacts to the database as required.

Running and distributing weekly, monthly and adhoc reports.

Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at the same time.

These elements will give you an advantage in the application process;

  • Knowledge of the UK Taxi industry
  • Previous Business Development or Sales Administration role
