Our Community

Our aim

We believe that businesses like ours have the power to make a big impact in the communities they serve.

Therefore, our aim is to support the industries we work in and the communities surrounding our offices by backing local charities and other non-profit organisations. Employees at Patons are also encouraged to participate in causes that matter to them, and we seek to support them when possible.

Supporting the taxi industry

Patons Insurance has been serving the taxi industry for over fifty years and recognises the vital role that taxi drivers play in the areas they work in. We are committed to supporting non-profit events that they organise where possible, including trips for veterans and annual outings for vulnerable children in cities such as Glasgow, Liverpool and London.

We also look for ways to work with taxi drivers in our local regions to support the wider community. Most recently, we collaborated with the charity RAPAID to install over 100 life-saving bandage kits in taxis across Glasgow and Liverpool, with the aim of combating knife crime and making our cities feel safer.

Staff fundraising and internal events

Our employees are encouraged to participate in events to raise funds for causes close to their hearts. We’ve sponsored them at fundraising events such as the Glasgow Kiltwalk and the Great North Run, as well as walks for charities such as the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

In addition to sponsoring employee charity efforts, we encourage regular internal fundraising to allow our employees to come together and make a difference.

We run monthly dress-down paydays, where our staff dress down and donate to a charity chosen by one of our offices. As a company, we also participate in other annual charity events, including Macmillan Coffee Morning and Red Nose Day.
