Looking for Car Valeting Insurance? We can help you. We’re a Commercial Motor Insurance broker specialising in all types of Motor Trade Insurance, and we can find the right cover for your business needs.

Levels of cover

At a minimum, you’ll need a Road Risk Insurance policy to be legally covered. There are three levels to Road Risk Insurance:

Third Party Only (TPO) will cover you if you cause damage to a third party’s vehicle or cause injury in a fault accident. It’s the lowest level of cover available.

Third Party, Fire & Theft (TPFT) covers you for everything in TPO cover, and it also provides cover for your vehicle if it’s damaged by fire or stolen, minus any excess.

Comprehensive covers you for everything included in TPO and TPFT, as well as damage to your own vehicle. It’s generally recommended as it’s the highest level of cover you can get and it gives protection in most accident scenarios.

Additional cover

There are also additional policies available to take out alongside your core Road Risk Policy, including:

  • Employers’ liability
  • Public liability
  • Tools in transit cover
  • Business premises cover

Taking out additional policies is generally optional, but there are exceptions depending on the type of business you operate. For example, if you employ any staff, you will be legally required to take out Employers’ Liability cover.
